Carol Vorderman has teased her fans with a new secret project. The 62-year-old took to Instagam to reveal she was "so excited" to share the news at a later date.
The former Countdown star shared a beautiful snap of herself with her hair and make-up done and captioned the selfie: "SECRET FILMING. So excited to have recorded something I haven't done before earlier this week.
Carol then said the project wouldn't be aired for a while but she was passionate about taking part in it. She continued: "It won't be broadcast for a while but I LOVED IT. And I loved the dress I wore too...yessssssss. Anyway this is back in scruff and going home time."

The Welsh television star then tagged her make-up artist and hair stylist as friends and fans rushed to the comments section. "I KNEW that was @makeupbymikey's work! Stunner!" wrote Ian 'H' Watkins from Steps.
"So beautiful, love you," added actress Helen Flanagan, while one fan commented: "Fabulous makeup style on you."
Others tried to guess the project with one suggesting an episode of Who Do You Think You Are and others taking a punt on The Masked Singer. It comes after Carol appeared on ITV's This Morning on Monday, January 23, to talk to Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby about her love life and five 'special friends'.
Carol recently revealed her 'liberating' relationship status in October 2022 while appearing on a new match-making segment on This Morning with Gyles Brandreth and more recently opened up about how it works, telling fans she leads a "full" and "happy" life.
The media star - who has known some of her 'special friends' for over a decade and says they all know about each other - said: "I think it's come about naturally. I don't want to settle with anybody. If my life was a cake, it's got fantastic friends, I love my job, I love the business of education, I have people who love me, I have this busy home. The male-female relationships are the icing on the cake, rather than the fundamental basis of it."
Her golden rule, however, is that they too have to be single although they may have other 'special friends' although she says: "I don't talk to them about it." You can read more on this here. For more showbiz and television stories sign up to our newsletter here.
