Carol Vorderman, 62, 'breaks internet' with fabulous figure as she works out amid public row

Carol Vorderman has once again found herself being flooded with compliments as she showed off her fabulous figure during her latest workout. The former Countdown host showed off her latest personal training session by posting a string of photos and videos on Instagram.

Carol was getting stuck into her latest training session with her friend and personal trainer Mel Deane, which appeared to include plenty of lengthy as well as sweat-inducing moves. 62-year-old Carol could be seen sporting a black one-piece, with a yellow abstract design on the top, that showed off her curves and toned pins.

She kept her blonde tresses loose for the gym visit, which also included time outside in the fresh spring air, while her turquoise trainers completed the look. Carol then showed the secrets of her fabulous figure as she took her followers through her gym routine.

In the photos and clips, Carol could be seen walking to the gym holding weights, before she was seen squatting and using a sled push for a full-body workout - all with a beaming smile on her face. "GYM with the boss @meldeane12," Carol started the caption of her post.

"Starting to get a bit stronger now... I can't stop smiling once I've had a good gym session....my steering wheel gets a battering too singing away on the way home!! Ha," she added. Former Loose Women star Saira Khan was among the first to respond, writing in the comments: "You look so fit and healthy - total inspiration."

And fans were also quick to share their own comments as they praised Carol's hard work and complimented her gym-honed figure. @jamie.bradbury.5891 said: "Watching u sled push on 4 ...is gonna possibly break the internet lmao....looking good n working hard carol... respect."

@oatsfitx wrote: "You have a body of a 20 years old. Stay blessed carol." @vicnsi shared: "You're an inspiration Carol. When I lack the drive and desire to exercise all I have to do is think of you and then I'm raring to go!" @clipboardclaire added: "Go @carolvorders. After yesterday’s stress in parliament I’m sure you need to let off some steam!"

As one of her followers mentioned, Carol has found herself in a Twitter row. The TV star has called on the women’s minister to resign after she could not “be bothered to turn up” to a committee hearing about the menopause – but the politician has accused the TV presenter of not dealing in facts.

Maria Caulfield took to Twitter a day after the Women and Equalities Committee session to say she had been unable to attend as she was with campaigners at a meeting “which had been in the diary for months”. The MP, who is also minister for women’s health strategy, tweeted that she was “not a punch bag” and said anyone who posted “misleading information” about her would be blocked on the social media platform.

Carol posted a screenshot on Twitter indicating she had been blocked by the Government minister, and wrote: “Maria, show some respect & RESIGN.” When challenged by another Twitter user about blocking Carol, Ms Caulfield replied: “She hasn’t pointed out facts. I couldn’t attend yesterday as I was seeing women campaigners against painful hysteroscopy which had been in the diary for months. I have given alternative dates to the committee and they are the facts.”

The committee said it had invited Ms Caulfield to appear before members to discuss the Government’s plans for action on menopause in the workplace “but the minister refused the invitation”. It is understood the committee received a response from the minister on the dates she was available only after the letter they wrote to her, dated March 10, was posted on Twitter on March 17.

The committee is believed to have contacted her a number of times before that to get a date agreed for a hearing. Committee chairwoman Caroline Nokes confirmed at the end of Wednesday’s session that Ms Caulfield is expected to appear for a hearing in June.

Commons Leader Penny Mordaunt rejected calls from Labour for Ms Caulfield to apologise for not attending the committee hearing and cited the minister’s prior commitment. She told business questions in the chamber: "It is deeply ironic, especially in the wake of International Women’s Day when we all used hashtag ‘#AskHerToStand’ and want to support working women, that we are so quick to paint an incorrect picture about our female colleagues in this place. I think it is shocking.” Ms Mordaunt added: “She does not need to apologise in any way to people in this House."
