Carol Kirkwood's weather report was interrupted as her co-stars teased her engagement news.
Flashing her engagement ring to the camera during BBC Breakfast, all eyes were on Carol's ring finger rather than the morning weather report. Her partner popped the question whilst they were on holiday and they welcomed hundreds of comments from supportive fans on their social media pages.
Among those who wished the couple well were Carol's BBC co-stars Sally Nugent and Jon Kay. This morning, Jon went one step further and decided to tease Carol live on air over the announcement.

During Carol's regular weather segment, Jon said: "Any more bombshells this morning?" Thrown off by the comment, Carol began laughing. She added: "No, no, no more bombshells. Just the weather."
Carol's ring was also the centre of attention on Monday's show as Sally also made remarks on the big news. She said: "I'm a bit concerned about how you're standing up with a giant rock on that left hand."
Taking the jokes in her stride, Carol flashed the ring again and said: "Thank you, Sal! It is rather nice. I got engaged!"
