Back in the old live-action "Batman" television series, the villain — maybe the Joker, the Riddler, the Penguin or even Egghead — would have Batman and Robin captured and in a position of seemingly certain death.
Since the heroes weren't going to escape despite their long history of escaping in similar situations, the bad guy would lay out their entire nefarious plan.
Batman would, of course, escape and then use the information the villains had willingly shared to thwart their plans.

Similar things happened in James Bond movies, and it's kind of a trope in the broader superhero world.
You would think that people breaking the rules would understand how social media works. If you successfully commit the crime, don't brag about it on Facebook, Instagram or X, the former Twitter.
That's not a lesson two Carnival Cruise Line passengers had learned, according to Tony from the popular La Lido Loca YouTube channel.
Pickle people pushed it too far
Fairly frequently, people try to bring things on board cruise ships that aren't allowed.
On a recent Carnival Cruise two passengers mixed some items they did not know weren't allowed with one they clearly must have known was outlawed.
"I'm just going to describe this one without using pictures because the pictures are disturbing," Tony wrote. "Back in April, there were a pair of cruisers on a Carnival cruise ship that tried to take some items on board, some items that got confiscated, and then an item that did not get confiscated."
It's not uncommon to see banned items make it on the ship, and if you just keep them in your luggage (or hand them in to ship security) you likely won't get in any trouble. These passengers did neither of those sensible things.
"And wildly, we probably wouldn't know anything about this, except the pickle cruisers made a video about it," he said.
"They posted a video on social media. And in the video you could hear one of the people, they're in a cruise cabin in front of the safe in the cruise cabin. They said, look, they took my pickles, my hot sausages, and even my open bag of popcorn, but they didn't find this," Tony said.
Had that "this" been more ill-advised food, it would not have been a big deal.
"And then after she said they didn't find this, let's just break that down," he said. "Pickles, hot sausages, and pop. That actually sounds like a pretty good evening. Anyways, they took all of those things. They were able to find those things, but they did not find the firearm, the pew pew."

Tony, to be clear, was not sure whether the gun was real or just a replica/toy.
"I don't know if this was a real pew pew or not a real pew pew, but man, they showed it right there on the video. And that video has resurfaced from months ago. And now Carnival has said, hey, we know who these people are. They're banned, no longer welcome to [sail] on Carnival Cruise Line," he added.
All cruise lines, for the record have a no-weapon policy, but they don't specifically ban stupidity.
