At least 10 people including three children and a teenage boy have died in 36 hours of carnage on UK roads.
One horrific smash saw three people lose their lives, while two others were injured and another crash saw a five-year-old girl killed and an eight-year-old badly injured.
Police forces across the country have appealed for witness or anyone with dashcam footage to get in touch to help with the following investigations.
7am Monday - A1(M) near Sawtry, Cambridgeshire
A person died after a four-vehicle crash on the A1 near Sawtry, at around 7am today.
Traffic was stopped just before Junction 15 while emergency services dealt with the incident.
Cambridgeshire Police say the road was likely to remain closed while accident investigators conduct their work.
6.45pm Sunday - Wisbech, Cambridgeshire
A 19-year-old man, who was driving a red Suzuki motorbike, was involved in a collision with a car on Churchill Road, Wisbech, at around 6.45pm on Sunday.
The driver of the other vehicle, a white BMW 520D, was unhurt and is assisting with police enquiries.
2.35pm Sunday - A35 Devon
A five-year-old girl has died and an eight-year-old was badly wounded in a crash on the A35 in Devon yesterday afternoon at about 2.35pm.
Despite initial reports of numerous vehicles being involved, the incident involved only two cars: a white BMW 318 and blue Land Rover Discovery Sport.
The driver of the Land Rover, a woman in her 50’s from South London, was taken to Dorchester Hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
The male driver and female passenger of the BMW, both in their 30s were taken to hospital.
An eight-year-old girl remains in hospital after sustaining serious injuries, but they are not thought to be life-threatening.
A five-year-old girl who was a passenger in the BMW died in the collision.
10am Sunday - Bardney, Lincolnshire
A 12-year-old boy died in a crash involving two cars in Bardney, Lincolnshire just before 10am on Sunday.
A silver Mercedes-Benz A220 and a silver Ford Galaxy crashed about a mile from the village.
The boy, a passenger in the Ford, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Mercedes, a man, was taken to hospital.
1am Sunday - A1(M) near Wothorpe, Cambridgeshire
Three people died and two more were seriously injured following a multi-car pile-up on the A1.
Police said three men aged 25, 34 and 38 died at the scene and two people were taken to hospital, where they remain with serious injuries.
The three-vehicle crash, involving a blue VW Golf, a black BMW 520D and a red Land Rover Discovery, happened just before 1am on Sunday morning on the A1 northbound near Wothorpe, Cambridgeshire.
Saturday 6pm - Mansfield, Nottinghamshire
A father and his young son died after a three-car crash in Mansfield, close to the junction with Pleasley Hill, just after 6.10pm on Saturday, January 15.
Three cars are believed to have been involved in the incident.
The driver of one of the other vehicles was also taken to hospital after suffering multiple fractures.
His injuries are not currently believed to be life-threatening.
Police say a father and his young son lost their lives but have not revealed the age of the child.
Saturday 4.45pm - Stone, Staffordshire
A man and woman died in a crash on the A34 in Staffordshire.
Emergency services were called to The Fillybrooks, in Stone, at 4.45pm yesterday after reports of a two-vehicle crash.
Police have confirmed the occupants of one of the vehicles, a 73-year-man and a 74-year-old woman, both died in hospital in the early hours of this morning.
A 17-year-old girl, who was also in the vehicle, was uninjured.
Police say the occupants of the other vehicle, a 29-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman, were taken to hospital with serious injuries where they remain in a stable condition.
