Ella Lily recently starred in her first feature film, Silent Roar, and got to live on Scotland’s Isle of Lewis during shooting, which she describes as "the most magical place."
But there’s no place like home for the young actress, who loves going back to Carlow where she grew up, and where Irish Oscar-nominated actress, Saoirse Ronan, was also raised.
Ella Lily told Irish Country magazine how she loves The Barrow track back home as it’s surrounded by trees. She said: "I’ve been going there since I was a child because it’s the river through Carlow where I grew up.
"We always swam there during the summers as teenagers.
"And if it’s warm when I go home to visit, me and my Ma will swim there."
The actress joked that she was prone to falling into the river and that her stand-out childhood memories is "coming home soaked because I would always somehow 'fall' in."
The young star who studied acting at Ireland’s Lir Academy says the best advice she received on acting was "to get comfortable with failing, and to get comfortable with rejection - and not to derive any of your worth from it."
She added: "I’m always really inspired by people who can play and find endless joy in their work.
"People who are curious and light in their approach to things. It feels magic to be in the creative orbit of those kinds of people."
Fifteen-Love will launch on Prime Video UK and Ireland on 21 July.
