Carlos Santana’s electric walk-off homer sparked an amazing Pirates dance party on home plate

Pittsburgh Pirates designated hitter/first baseman Carlos Santana lived up to his “Slamtana” nickname on Friday night.

In the bottom of the ninth, the Pirates trailed the Milwaukee Brewers 7-6 until Santana stepped up to the plate and blasted a homer out of the field with a runner on base to give Pittsburgh a walk-off 8-7 win at home.

It was a phenomenal moment for Pirates fans as the veteran knocked out the win and danced his way into a celebratory huddle with all of his teammates.

While Pittsburgh isn’t having the best season with a 39-42 record going into July, this is the kind of bombastic moment that sparks turnarounds.

Santana also got an ice bath from Pirates infielders Rodolfo Castro and Tucupita Marcano to go along with the victorious dance party.

This video is so exciting that it makes you want to jump up from your computer chair and dance along with the Pirates, even if you’re not even vaguely a Pittsburgh fan.
