Carlos Beltran Leaves YES Network for Mets Front Office Position

Nine-time MLB all-star Carlos Beltran is leaving his analyst job with YES Network covering the Yankees to take a position in the Mets front office, according to a report from The Athletic.

The 45-year-old Beltran has been a broadcast analyst for the Yankees since January 2022. His role with the Mets is unspecified, but Beltran has previously spent time in the Yankees’ front office, serving as a special advisor to general manager Brian Cashman during the 2018 season.

This is the second time Beltran has attempted to join the Mets organization in his post-playing career. He was hired to be the club’s manager in November 2019. However, after Beltran was implicated in the Astros’ sign-stealing scandal, he and the Mets agreed to part ways before he ever managed a game.

Beltran should be no stranger to Mets fans after spending much of his prime with the franchise.

Over his seven years playing for the club, Beltran hit .280 with 149 home runs and 559 RBI.
