We might be watching the ascension of Carlos Alcaraz all the way to a Grand Slam title if the Spanish star keeps up what he’s doing at the 2022 U.S. Open.
He defeated Jannik Sinner on Wednesday night in an epic five-set win, and as part of that victory, he hit what might be the shot of the tournament.
As he was running to his right, Sinner hit a shot to his backhand side. Alcaraz’s momentum took him to the point where he couldn’t hit that ball normally, so he WENT BEHIND HIS BACK. Sinner responded with a drop shot and Alcaraz hit a winner.
