Ancelotti 'turned away a €35m deal at Everton'
Carlo Ancelotti reportedly turned away a €35m deal at Everton to make the return to Real Madrid last summer. The Italian made a surprise Goodison Park exit in June of last year, calling time on his 18-month tenure with the Blues to return to his former club in Spain.
And now according to AS journalist Joaquin Maroto, Ancelotti 'gave up' a three-year contract with Everton worth €35m to sign with Madrid for 'half the money' he was being paid in England.

Patterson praised for Scotland performance
Nathan Patterson caught the eye of Craig Levein for his performance for Scotland against Poland last night.
“I really like when Scotland come down the right,” he said after the 1-1 draw at Hampden Park. “Nathan Patterson has got the better of his opposite man, we just need to keep feeding him the ball. He’s had two shots, a couple of crosses, and been very effective.
“His attacking skills are probably the best part of his game. In a game with wing-backs where you’re trying to attack down the sides, he’s very, very useful.”
