Carlo Ancelotti and Everton confirm 'resolution' to legal dispute

Ex-Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti's legal team have released a new statement having reached an agreement with the club regarding their recent High Court dispute.

Little was known about the claim itself, with court records stating it related to "general commercial contracts and arrangements." This was filed earlier in June.

The brief official statement released this evening by John Mehrzad KC, on behalf of the Italian coach, read: "Carlo Ancelotti and Everton Football Club have reached an amicable resolution to their dispute.

"Carlo has enduring respect and a deep affection for the Club’s fans and wishes them and the Club the very best for the future."

The 64-year-old left the Toffees two years ago when he was re-hired by Spanish giants Real Madrid, where he has since gone on to win six trophies.

Prior to that, he had seen out 18 months of a four-and-a-half-year contract at Goodison Park, contributing to 12th and 10th-placed finishes in the Premier League.
