Former world champion Carl Froch has slammed Tyson Fury’s approach to a possible fight with Anthony Joshua.
The WBC heavyweight champion stated on Friday that AJ had received a draft contract for a bout in September. It comes after talks broke down between the pair earlier this year and with Fury also unable to get a unification fight with Oleksandr Usyk over the line.
‘The Gypsy King’ was last in the ring for his KO win over Derek Chisora in December, while Joshua battled to a decision victory over Jermaine Franklin in April. However, former super-middleweight champion Froch has called for Fury to step away from negotiations over his next opponent.

"I'm starting to get a little bit wound up. I’m good friends with him, I’ve got a lot of respect for him, what a great fighter he is, but it’s getting to the point now where I’m getting bored of his nonsense," he told his Froch on Fighting YouTube channel.
"He’s now sent a contract, although Eddie Hearn has denied it, to Anthony Joshua saying ‘let’s get this fight on’. We can’t just all sing to the Tyson Fury tune of ‘I’ve sent a contract, I want to fight somebody, let’s make it happen’, because it’s not realistic. Let the promoters do their job, let them get together and sort it out."
Eddie Hearn denied that AJ’s camp had been sent an offer but Fury’s promoter George Warren subsequently made an announcement confirming that Queensbury Promotions had submitted the same terms that were in place for their ill-fated bout in December.
On Friday, Fury wrote on social media: “A few days ago I sent a draft contract to Anthony Joshua for a fight in September at Wembley Stadium. It's a fight that everyone wants to see, including myself,” Fury said on social media.
“Come on AJ, let's give the world what they want to see. This time I'm not gonna make a million vids and keep putting pressure on. The ball is now on your side.”
