Carl Frampton mates troll former boxer after Old Firm game

Rangers fan Carl Frampton probably wanted to forget Wednesday night's Old Firm mauling by Celtic - but his mates were having none of it.

The Hoops cruised to a commanding 3-0 win at Parkhead to surge to the top of the Scottish Premiership table.

Some of the Jackal's Celtic-supporting mates couldn't resist having a pop - and it appears many used the same photograph to troll the former world champion boxer.

They sent Frampton an old pic of a smiling Barry McGuigan dressed in a Celtic kit.

Sharing the photograph on Twitter, Frampton joked: "Is this an example of a joke being taken too far when about 10 of your so called mates send you this picture?"

Frampton worked with McGuigan for eight years before eventually splitting in August 2017.

The fallout continued when both sides took legal action against each other in a highly publicised court battle.

Speaking on the Anything Goes podcast last year, Frampton said there was “no relationship" between him and the McGuigans.

“The court case was settled so no-one can say they won or anything but what I can say is that I’m very happy with the settlement," Frampton said.

"But there's no relationship. I despise them, all of them. Hate them. It’s just the way it is."
