A "caring" young woman described by family as a "bundle of love and laughter" tragically died months after her devastating cancer diagnosis.
Georgia Goodier was just 23 years old when she passed away at her home in Warrington.
Mum Cheryl Goodier, 45, said medics initially thought her daughter had a water infection, but when she continued to suffer with pain in her side she visited A&E, the Liverpool Echo reports.
She underwent examinations and blood tests at Warrington Hospital as well as biopsy on her liver, with then doctors giving her the heartbreaking news that she had adenocarcinoma.
Adenocarcinoma is a type of cancer that can occur in almost any part of the body, originating in glands that line the insides of the organs.
Before her death on October 5, Georgia received treatment at the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre in Liverpool, who her family are now raising money for.
Mum Cheryl said : "You look back and think we were just robbed of time with her. We definitely thought we had Christmas and we thought we had most of this year.
"She never had any health issues at all in her life. It's surreal really. It doesn't feel real still - that's why we're doing as much as we can to keep going.
"She was only 22 [when she was diagnosed.] There's no family history of any cancer, other than years and years ago but there's no immediate family history of cancer.
"It was just a huge shock because she was so fit and healthy. She ate well, she didn't drink much, she was very active at the gym all the time."
Georgia was 22 when she was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma, which is believed to have started in her bowel before spreading to her glands and liver.
She underwent six rounds of chemotherapy but suffered from a number of septic infections in her bile duct, which eventually would not respond to antibiotics.
Georgia came home on the October 1 last year and died four days later on October 5, at the age of 23.
Friends and family are now taking part in a 56 mile sponsored run in Georgia's memory, with all money raised through their fundraising page going to the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre in Liverpool.
It comes after Georgia and her best friend Chloe completed the same sponsored run in February last year in aid of Cancer Research.
Paying tribute to Georgia, Cheryl described her as a "family person" who was "loved by so many people."
Cheryl said: "She was just amazing. She was caring and very thoughtful.
"She was loved by so many people. She lived at home still, she loved to be around her family and friends.
"She was a family person - she's got a sister and two brothers and a cockapoo who she adored.
"She'd been with her boyfriend Jack for four years. She loved to travel, her and Jack had been to many places - Dubai was her favourite.
"It's just not the same [at home], it's quiet. She was a bundle of love and laughter."
Parents Cheryl and Danny would like to thank all of their friends and family for their support and everyone who has donated to the fundraising page so far, as well the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, Warrington Hospital and Claire's House for the care they gave Georgia.
