When London-based fashion house Self-Portrait introduced its Residency program allowing a diverse group of artists to design at its headquarters, we were intrigued. When founder and creative director Han Chong revealed that Christopher Kane would be its first resident, we got excited. Now we get to see the fruits of the partnership as Chong and Kane just revealed a couple of the stunning looks.

Longtime Kane supporter Carine Roitfeld stars in the mini campaign providing a first peek at the collection with images shot at Roitfeld's home in Paris by Larissa Hofmann. (The full campaign featuring a larger cast comes out next week.) Kane's latest collection is actually a reinterpretation of key elements from his debut Spring 2007 offering from his eponymous label. So there's plenty of texture, from crystal chainmail to fancy lace panels to ruffles and even satin.

"It has been a joy to work with Han on the brand's first Self-Portrait Residency," says Kane. "The entire process has been an extraordinary experience, made possible by Han and his wonderful teams. I am delighted to have reincarnated my archival collections for this inaugural project, and who better to unveil our new collection than Carine Roitfeld; a big champion since my first collections, and a true fashion icon. I will be forever grateful for her continued support."

Like what you see? Then set your alarm because the Christopher Kane Self-Portrait Residency Collection drops tonight at 8:00 p.m. GMT via Self-Portrait's website, its London stores in Mayfair and Chelsea along with Harvey Nichols, Bloomingdale's, Selfridges and Club21.
