Carey Mulligan was accidentally announced as the winner of the Bafta best supporting actress award instead of Kerry Condon.
The mistake happened while Oscar-winning deaf actor Troy Kotsur was presenting. He was delivering the announcement by sign language before a miscommunication resulted in Mulligan's name being called for her performance in She Said.
The announcer quickly corrected the call and announced The Banshees Of Inisherin star Kerry Condon as the winner. However, the moment wasn't aired on TV.

Taking to the stage, Condon paid tribute to director Martin McDonagh, adding: "Thank you for all the parts you gave me throughout my career. You make me so proud to be an Irish woman."
She also thanked the "amazing cast" and her family as well as her horses and dogs. Event host Richard E Grant joked later that he had a defibrillator for Mulligan.
Speaking to the Mirror about the win, Kerry said: “They called out Carey Mulligan and I was like, 'Oh my god what the f***' but I don’t care I just won it. I'm so shocked I can’t believe I won. I’ll be looking at this for the rest of my life.”
The mix-up caused gasps in the audience and backstage, with one attendee at the star-studded ceremony overhearing organisers describing the mistake as “a disaster” backstage.
“It certainly sent a few people into a panic behind the scene,” an insider told the Mirror. “Thank god it wasn’t live and they have the chance to edit out awkward reactions on the audience before coverage began at 7pm.”
The moment wasn't aired in the televised version of the ceremony and instead cut to Kerry taking to the stage to pick up her award.
