A care worker who spent nine months in hospital after catching Covid-19 says he's "f**ked off" with the Boris Johnson for partying while he was seriously ill in hospital.
Alan Finch was one of the UK's longest coronavirus hospital patients after spending a heartbreaking 248 days on wards.
The 49-year-old was admitted to hospital on January 19 last year and spent two months in a coma.
He developed sepsis, pneumonia, and multi-organ failure, and his devastated fiance Claire Wickham was twice told he might not survive.
Alan was finally discharged from hospital and sent home in September but still needs extra oxygen to breathe.
The carer and Claire have both now torn into P rime Minister Johnson after it emerged he attended a lockdown-busting Downing Street drinks party on May 20, 2020.
Alan, of Ramsgate, Kent, raged: "To say I'm f**ked off with him is an understatement.
What would you like to say to Boris Johnson? Have your say in the comment section
"I was still ill while he was partying. Says it all.
"How can we have respect for him when he has no respect for the people he is meant to be working for?
"I am still waiting for my benefits to be sorted out."
His 39-year-old fiance added: "This man was partying while so many people were fighting for their lives , sadly many didn't survive.
"So Boris , I am happy for you to swap places with Alan, spending 24/7 on oxygen, can only walk as far as the bathroom before he needs a rest, sleeps most of the day, everytime he has a cough we have to go back to the hospital...248 days in hospital.
"All Alan did was care and that's how he got Covid.
"He is desperate to drive again but can't because long Covid has caused him to have two ulcers in his eye so now has double vision in his left eye.
"He suffers from PTSD and panic attacks.
"He really wants to work again instead of looking at the same four walls nearly all the time.
"So Boris, come visit us soon.
"With any luck you will be signing on, unfortunately Alan is still waiting to hear about benefits."
Mr Johnson is facing calls to resign after he finally said 'sorry' for attending a bring your own booze garden party during lockdown on May 20, 2020.
Up to 100 staffers were invited to the event, despite strict lockdown rules stating Brits could only meet one person from another household outdoors.
It comes after a bombshell leaked email revealed his principal private secretary Martin Reynolds invited more than 100 staffers to a Downing Street bash during lockdown.
Scores of people allegedly attended the bash in the Downing Street garden on May 20, 2020.
Mr Reynolds emails stated: "Hi all, after what has been an incredibly busy period we thought it would be nice to make the most of the lovely weather and have some socially distanced drinks in the No 10 garden this evening.
"Please join us from 6pm and bring your own booze!"
Alan was cared for Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital in Margate, Kent.
