A carer has admitted to taking an elderly woman's bank card and swiping £11,800.
Margaret McPhail took 87-year-old Agnes Fowler's bank card from her home in Cambuslang, South Lanarkshire. The 62-year-old committed the crime between March 5, 2019 and January 21, 2020.
McPhail used the card at a Morrisons also in Cambuslang. She pled guilty yesterday at Glasgow Sheriff Court to a single charge of theft.
Sheriff Michael Hanlon asked McPhail's lawyer: "Was she known and was she someone in a position of trust?"
Chris Devine, defending, replied: "Yes."
