Care home boss found dead at Aberdeenshire home as police investigate 'unexplained' death

A woman found dead at her house in Aberdeenshire on Monday has been named locally as Angela Reilly.

The care home manager was reportedly discovered within a property on Leslie Crescent, Alford, at around 3.45pm on Monday June 12. Police say her death is being currently treated as unexplained.

It is understood cops were called to the same house last Friday night following reports of an incident. Angela was reportedly taken to hospital.

Angela is reported to have worked for Richmond Fellowship which operates several care homes in the north east of Scotland.

Forensic officers have been seen scouring the scene as the investigation into Angela's death continues.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “The body of a woman was found at a property in the Leslie Crescent area of Alford, around 3.45pm on Monday, 12 June, 2023.

"The death is currently being treated as unexplained, pending further enquiries. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
