2022 season
Ingram was a rookie in 2022, selected in the sixth round. He played little, logging 104 offensive snaps and 48 on special teams in 12 games.
He ran the ball 27 times for 6 yards and a touchdown, and he caught four passes for 21 yards.
2023 salary and camp number
Ingram makes the league minimum for his salary. He is scheduled to make $870,000 in 2023. His salary cap hit is almost $913,000.
Questions and challenges for 2023; roster outlook
The Cardinals did not address the running back room in free agency other than bringing back Corey Clement, which might suggest something about what they think about Ingram.
However, he finds himself as a second-year player drafted by a general manager and coach who are no longer with the team. Did new GM Monti Osseinfort think of him highly?
After showing little last season as a rookie, is Ingram ready to be the second back in the Cardinals’ offense?
There is still a very good chance the team adds a veteran before or during camp, but right now Ingram looks like a pretty sure thing for the final roster and his role on offense.
