Cardinals to meet with TCU WR prospect Quentin Johnston

While wide receiver might not be the biggest priority at the moment as the Arizona Cardinals prepare for the NFL draft at the end of April, they are making sure to evaluate receiver prospects.

After all, with a potential trade of DeAndre Hopkins, they will have a fairly large hole and a lack of size at the position.

According to reporter Aaron Wilson, the Cardinals are one of the teams TCU receiver Quentin Johnston is scheduled to meet with in the coming weeks. It appears that these could be official top-30 visits.

Johnston is considered by many to be the best receiver prospect in this draft class. He is 6-foot-2 and 208 pounds. At his pro day, he ran the 40 in 4.46 seconds.

Last season for the Horned Frogs on their way to being national champion runners-up, Johnston caught 60 passes for 1,069 yards and six touchdowns.

His production increased every season at TCU.

Johnston is projected to as high as the upper first round.

He isn’t likely going to be under consideration if the Cardinals remain with the third overall pick, but if they trade back or if he falls to the second round, he could be a player they consider.
