Who is on the roster?

Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

The Cardinal have two tight ends under contract for next season and one they have signed to a future deal.

  • Zach Ertz, signed through 2024
  • Trey McBride, signed through 2025
  • Stephen Anderson, unrestricted free agent
  • Maxx Williams, unrestricted free agent
  • Bernhard Seikovits, signed futures deal

Questions and issues

David Cruz-USA TODAY Sports

Ertz tore his ACL so he will be coming back from that injury. McBride’s development will be very important as he will be expected to be the main guy, at least until Ertz’ return.

Williams’ knee might keep him from playing again. He has chronic pain and walking is a chore. He gutted through the 2022 season but he might not be able to return.

Offseason need: Secondary

Yes, Ertz is coming back from a torn ACL, but with his return paired with McBride’s development, the Cardinals should be fine.

They will add a veteran blocking tight end who can play special teams but those players are a dime a dozen.

It isn’t a position that needs a lot of attention in the offseason.
