The Arizona Cardinals could have their eyes on a first-round tackle and perhaps it is in preparation for a trade back from the third overall pick in the draft.
According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Georgia offensive lineman Broderick Jones, expected to be drafted in the first round, will have official visits with several teams and one likely team are the Cardinals.
The visit is interesting because Jones isn’t projected by most the be a top-10 pick.
The Cardinals have the third pick in the draft but are rumored to be shopping the pick.
Depending on whether they trade it and how far back they go, Jones could be in play.
Also, if Jones for whatever reason were to fall out of the first round, the Cardinals have the third pick in the second round.
Jones was the Bullgdogs’ starting left tackle for both their championship seasons.
He is 6-foot-5 and 311 pounds with almost 35-inch arms. he ran the 40 at the combine in 4.97 seconds.
