The Arizona Cardinals have their eyes on at least one running back prospect in the 2023 NFL draft. According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the Cardinals hosted Auburn running back Tank Bigsby on Thursday for an official visit.
Bigsby is considered as high as a Day 2 running back prospect. Arizona has three picks on Day 2 with one in the second round and two in the third.
Bigsby is 5-11 1/2 and weighed 210 pounds at the NFL combine last month.
He ran the 40 in 4.56 seconds, bench pressed 21 reps of 225 pounds and had a 32.5-inch vertical leap and 9-foot-11 broad jump.
Last season for Auburn, he rushed for 970 yards and 10 touchdowns on 5.4 yards per attempt. He also caught 30 passes.
The year before, in 2021, he had a career-high 1,099 yards and 10 touchdowns, averaging 4.9 yards per attempt.
The Cardinals could use another running back in the rotation. Their only proven back is James Conner.
