The Arizona Cardinals hold the third overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft and, form the most part, they are connected to defensive players with that selection.
However, they are doing their homework and have real interest in a top offensive lineman in the draft who perhaps could be in play with the third overall pick or might be a target if they were to trade back a few selections.
According to Jared Tokarz, Ohio State tackle Paris Johnson Jr. is scheduled to have a top-30 visit with the Arizona Cardinals, along with the Philadelphia Eagles and Chicago Bears.
Teams can bring in up to 30 draft prospects for formal visits to the team facility, take them out to dinner, etc.
Teams typically use these visits on players they consider near the top of the draft and also for potential priority free agents that go undrafted.
Johnson recently participated in the NFL combine and is 6-foot-6 and 313 pounds.
Johnson is the No. 16 player in Daniel Jeremiah’s prospect rankings. He is No. 17 in Draft Wire’s prospect rankings.
The Cardinals have a big need on the offensive line this offseason. Four of the five starters from last season are either scheduled to be free agents or expected to retire. Only left tackle D.J. Humphries is sure to return.
