Cardinals dead last in pre-training camp power rankings

NFL training camps will open in a couple of weeks and the final preparations for the 2023 NFL season will begin.

We have a picture of how good or bad each of the 32 teams will be.

The Arizona Cardinals? They are not expected to be good.

Touchdown Wire’s Natalie Miller put together pre-training camp power rankings and the Cardinals come in dead last.

The Cardinals have made it clear through the stockpiling of draft picks and lack of aggressive moves in the offseason that this year is more of a retooling campaign. With franchise quarterback Kyler Murray expected to miss at least half the season, and almost no star power on the roster overall, it could be a rough first season for new head coach Jonathan Gannon.

This sort of projection is nothing new. They have the lowest projected win total in the NFL and most consider their 2023 season a tank job.

It will likely come down to how soon Murray can return and how good he can be upon his return.

You might convince someone to rank them 30th or 31st rather than dead last, but the truth is this season could be tough to watch, especially before Murray is back on the field.

An offer for Cardinals fans
