The Arizona Cardinals have been active on the waiver wire. After acquiring former Philadelphia Eagles defensive back Andre Chachere on a waiver claim, they announced Wednesday they acquired former Cleveland Browns defensive lineman Ben Stille on a waiver claim.
Stille, 6-foot-4 and 296 pounds, was an undrafted rookie last year out of Nebraska who signed originally with the Miami Dolphins, where Cardinals defensive line coach Derrick LeBlanc was on staff.
Stille appeared in one game and spent time on the practice squad before the Browns signed him to their active roster. He appeared in six games for Cleveland.
Stille finished the season with five tackles and a quarterback hit.
While at Nebraska, he played in 53 games (34 starts) and had 148 tackles (69 solo), 14.5 sacks, seven pass breakups and one forced fumble.
