One of the big takeaways of the Arizona Cardinals’ 2023 schedule is that they will have no prime-time games for the first time since 2011.
They aren’t the only team this season without a prime-time game.
The NFL changed scheduling rules so teams are not required to appear on national television.
The Cardinals are one of four teams without a prime-time game, joining the Houston Texans, Atlanta Falcons and Indianapolis Colts.
All four teams are expected to struggle in 2023.
The Texans and Colts drafted quarterbacks in the first round. The Falcons have upgraded their defense but still are not expected to be good.
The Cardinals, along with the Texans, have the lowest projected win total in the league and will likely be without quarterback Kyler Murray, who is recovering from a torn ACL, for at least the first few games of the season.
If any of these teams becomes intriguing or is competitive, there is the possibility to have one of their later games flexed into prime time but that is unlikely.
