Cardiff's Principality Stadium transformed as giant castle hangs from roof for spectacular WWE event

This is what Cardiff's Principality Stadium looks like after it was transformed ahead of Saturday night's WWE Clash at the Castle.

The home of Welsh rugby has hosted a number of different sporting events over the years, from world title boxing bouts to FA Cup and Champions League finals. However, nothing perhaps compares to the experience delivered by wrestling.

And for the first major WWE event in the UK in 30 years, the Principality Stadium was made to look rather special. With the ring taking pride of place in the centre of the stadium, a giant castle hung above it. Around 70,000 spectators are expected to attend the event. You can follow it all live here

From the tunnel where Alun Wyn Jones normally leads out Wales ran an LED runway to the ring, complete with graphics of flames and stonework to tie in with the castle motif.

As is the case for the boxing events the stadium has hosted, a large number of seats surrounded the ring. Some of those ringside seats are likely to be taken up by some special guests - with boxing icon Tyson Fury in attendance.

Some things didn't change though. The giant Welsh flag that often sits in Glanmor's Gap - the only part of the stadium with two tiers instead of three - remained. With no fans sitting there, merchandise stalls were stationed in front of the stand.
