Brod first opened in Cardiff in 2015, hoping to bring Danish baking to the Welsh capital. Run by Betina Skovbro, the stores are filled with fresh pastries and goods made that morning – the bakers start weekend shifts at midnight and go through until the small hours – and the menu includes some of the same staples her grandfather made working in a bakery in Copenhagen years ago. You can read more about Brod here.
Recently Brod's bread was named among the best in the world, winning three awards at the World Bread Awards. Brød took home gold, silver and bronze for three of their lovingly baked loaves.
