Cardiff's Airbnb owners have nearly doubled their prices ahead of Wales v France match on Friday

A study has revealed that Cardiff's Airbnb prices have soared by over 80% ahead of the Six Nations match against France on Friday.

The study by money.co.uk analysed the average nightly cost of an Airbnb over the dates of the world's most popular sporting events in 2022, such as the Kentucky Derby in the US and the British Grand Prix in Silverstone near Milton Keynes.

The Welsh rugby team will take on the Les Bleus at Principality Stadium in Cardiff on Friday night, with kick off at 8pm.

A highly anticipated game, many are expected to head to Cardiff and perhaps stay in the capital, meaning that some individuals who live near the sporting venue are able to make a good rental earning through online marketplaces for lodging such as Airbnb.
