2024 is already looking like a great year for music in Cardiff with huge stars Taylor Swift and Foo Fighters playing at the Principality Stadium in June 2024. However, some Cardiff hotels have already dramatically increased their prices for the concert dates.
Taylor Swift will be performing in Cardiff on Tuesday, June 18 2024 and Foo Fighters will take to the stage a week later on Tuesday, June 25 2024. If you are looking to stay in the capital for the gigs it appears this may be more expensive than normal.

Luxury hotel The Parkgate, which is within touching distance of the Principality Stadium, have hugely increased their prices for June 2024. Comparing the price of one room for one adult for one night, from Tuesday, September 19 to Wednesday, September 20, in 2023 (£115), one of the cheapest dates we found, to how much a room is in June 2024, there is a very noticeable difference.
For Taylor's gig on Tuesday, June 18 2024 one room for one adult for one night at The Parkgate Hotel will set you back at least £588. This price appears to remain for most of June 2024, on any date, with the cheapest room available for prices starting at £588.
It is also £588 for one room for one adult for one night at The Parkgate Hotel for the Foo Fighters show on Tuesday, June 25. If you wish to book a room for two adults in June 2024 at The Parkgate Hotel, prices start at £601. Prices at The Parkgate Hotel always fluctuate, rise and drop depending on demand and what might be happening in Cardiff.
On the other side of the luxury scale hostel Bunkhouse, where you can just pay for a bed in a shared dormitory, have also increased their prices. For one adult for one night, a bed in a dorm starts at £17.58 from Tuesday, September 19 to Wednesday, September 20 2023.
When Taylor Swift is in town on Tuesday, June 18 2024 prices jump to £77.90 for one night in a bed, in a dorm. However, prices only slightly increase for the Foo Fighters gig on Tuesday, June 25 2025 with one bed in a dorm costing £28.50.
We have also checked other hotels in Cardiff including Holiday Inn, The Angel Hotel, Sandringham Hotel, Sleeperz, Clayton Hotel, Travelodge, Premier Inn, The Coal Exchange, voco St Davids and Future Inn, which are not available or fully booked for the Taylor Swift and Foo Fighter shows.
