Tan agrees club sale
Cardiff City owner Vincent Tan has agreed the sale of his other club, Belgian outfit KV Kortrijk
The Bluebirds billionaire bought the Belgian Pro League side in 2015, paying around £5million for it.
In recent weeks Burnley, Bournemouth, Newcastle and American investors the Kaminski Group were all said to be interested in acquiring the Jupiler Pro team.
A deal has now been struck with the Kaminski Group, led by American-Polish businessman Maciek Kaminski, with Tan selling his shares.
"I wish Maciek Kaminski and his family all the best. Mr. Kaminski is a good owner for the club, who already has experience in football. I think he will take the club to an even greater height," Tan said. "I would like to take this opportunity to thank the fans, staff and the city for their support during my time here.”
Ken Choo, Cardiff's chief executive, will also leave the club having operated at its managing director.
Choo added: "I would like to congratulate Maciek Kaminski and his family. I am fortunate to have been involved with this club with Vincent for the last seven years and I would like to express my appreciation to the staff, our supporters and our sponsors. I'm sure Maciek and his family will do well. He has a passion for this great sport and we are all excited to see what he can do for the club and its community.”
Warnock's U-turn
Former Cardiff boss Neil Warnock has agreed to a new one-year deal with Huddersfield Town.
The veteran manager kept the Terriers up last season after being parachuted in when the club were perilously placed.
On completing the near mission impossible, Warnock said he was looking forward to returning to retirement but the wily old boss has been tempted once again.
“After having conversations with (chief executive) Jake Edwards, it became obvious that this was going to be a difficult job for me to leave and for anybody new to come into after what we’d built at the end of last season," he said.
“I’ve agreed to stay on alongside Ronnie (Jepson) and just as we did when we came back last February, we’re going to try and do the best we can with our squad that we can hopefully make one or two additions to.
“We’re quietly confident – I know what the club is all about and I have to say, the response I got after those last two games is something I’ve never experienced in my whole life. This is now a chance for me to put something back into the club and give us some stability during this transitional period.
“Once I knew that Sharon was OK with me continuing, I’ve been fully concentrating on knuckling down to do the best we can in trying to get this great club up the league.”
Healey set for Watford move
Former Cardiff striker Rhys Healey is set to return to the Championship and join Watford after leaving Ligue 1 side Toulouse.
The 28-year-old made 14 appearances for the Bluebirds, including three in the Premier League, between 2013 and 2019 and scored one competitive goal in a frustrating period which saw him sent out on loan five times before joining MK Dons on a permanent deal.
He made the switch to Toulouse in 2020 and has shone in France, scoring 35 goals in 65 appearances in Ligue 2 during his first two seasons with the club. He won the league's Golden Boot as Les Violets sealed promotion in the 2021/22 campaign, scoring an impressive 20 goals.

However, after helping his side to promotion, a cruel twist of fate saw him suffer a ruptured ACL just three games into the Ligue 1 season, which restricted him to just four league appearances.
Healey's Toulouse contract expired earlier this month and The Athletic report that the forward is now set to sign a three-year contract with Watford as the Hornets look to better last season's 11th-place finish and push for promotion back to the Premier League.
Valerien Ismael's side are in need of a striker after Joao Pedro, their top scorer last season, left for Brighton in a deal worth just under £30 million.
Healey started his career with Connah's Quay Nomads' under 16s back in 2009, with his impressive scoring rate of 19 goals in 33 first-team outings catching the eye of Cardiff, who were then in the Premier League.
He signed for the Bluebirds in 2013 and the following year made his debut in the top flight, replacing his childhood hero Craig Bellamy in a 2-1 defeat to Chelsea on the final day of the season.
However, he could not break through into the senior side and was shipped out on loan to Colchester, Dundee, Newport County, Torquay and MK Dons. He did return to Cardiff in 2016 and found his way into the starting XI, only to suffer a serious knee injury in his second start which ruled him out for nine months.
He wrote on Twitter: "I've had the best three years of my career at @toulousefc and I just wanted to come on here to express my thank you to everyone involved.
"The love and affection that's been shown to myself and my family whilst I've been here has been overwhelming. Welcoming my daughter into the world, in another country, I couldn't have asked for better support and resources
"From the success and highs of achieving promotion and the golden boot we've created very good memories! I couldn't have done any of it without the players, coaches and backroom staff, who are incredible to be around.
"Finally, to the fans, your support has been massive., a huge thank you. You drove me on every time I entered the pitch and I can only hope I was able to gift you some good times back, during my time at the club. One day I hope to be in the away end, experiencing the crowd and cheering on a team I will now forever be a supporter of. Thank you."
