Cardiff City transfer news as Marlon Pack to Bristol City 'highly unlikely' and Gareth Bale's cheeky response to future question

These are your Cardiff City headlines on Saturday, June 4

Pack to Bristol City 'highly unlikely'

Reports from Bristol state that Bristol City's attempts to re-sign Marlon Park are "highly unlikely to be successful".

Pack revealed last month that he would be leaving Cardiff City at the end of his contract, with several teams monitoring his situation.

The Robins, Portsmouth and Shrewsbury Town are the main clubs in the picture for the midfielder, but Bristol World reporter Gregor MacGregor states that although a move for the 31-year-old can't be categorically ruled out, it is looking less likely.

He wrote: "BristolWorld has been told that a move for ex-Bristol City player Marlon Pack - first reported by Bristol Live - is highly unlikely to be successful. The former Cardiff City midfielder is available on a free transfer and has recently been undertaking his coaching badges in the FAW region.

"Although at this point a return to Ashton Gate for the former Portsmouth man is not dead, Pack has several other offers that may entice the 31-year-old more."

Bale's playful response

Gareth Bale today fielded questions about his next move ahead of Wales' match with Ukraine on Sunday. The Wales skipper is now a free agent after his Real Madrid contract came to an end.

He has been heavily linked with a move to hometown club Cardiff, with his future believed to be tied to Wales' fate in their World Cup play-off. But Bale said that wasn't necessarily the case.

When asked if his future hinged on this game, he replied: " Not necessarily, no. Like I've said before, I’m not concentrating on what lies ahead in the future. We have a massive game tomorrow. I really don’t need to think or worry about anything else."

And when pressed if he had any offers on the table for next season, he replied with a grin: " I’ve got loads!" Catch up with everything Bale said here.

Leeds have 'full agreement'

Leeds United have "full agreement" with RB Salzburg for Rasmus Kristensen, plunging the future of Cody Drameh into doubt at Elland Road.

The right-back spent the second half of last season on loan with Cardiff and his impact was marked. He picked up honours at the club's end-of-season awards and has already told his parent club he won't be sticking around if he doesn't get game-time next term.

The signing of Kristensen, expected to be confirmed in the coming days according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, strengthens the Bluebirds' hopes of getting Drameh back to south Wales for next season.

Romano wrote: "Full agreement set to be reached between Leeds and RB Salzburg for Rasmus Kristensen. Danish right-back's expected to join Leeds in the coming days, once final details will be resolved. #LUFC Kristensen will be able to undergo medical tests after international duty."

Drameh wants minutes next season, that much is clear. "I think game-time for me is really important," he said last month. "You saw in January, if I'm not promised game time then I don't really want to be waiting around.

"As a player, everyone wants to play. If you're not in that mindset then I don't know why you're playing football. I want to play games, I'm very young but there are players in my age bracket who have already played 100 games! That's where I want to be."
