Cardiff linked with Baccus
Cardiff City are reportedly one of several clubs taking an interest in St Mirren star Keanu Baccus.
According to our colleagues at the Daily Record, the 24-year-old is attracting admiring glances from a number of clubs.
Huddersfield Town has been tipped as being one of those to take an interest, although Yorkshire Live has already moved to pour cold water on those suggestions.
Even so, interest in Baccus may well grow further over the coming months, particularly if he's selected to represent his country at the upcoming World Cup in Qatar.
Manager Stephen Robinson picked out Baccus for special praise alongside Curtis Main after their recent victory over Dundee United.
He said: "Curtis was excellent. I thought him and Keanu (Baccus) were two of the best players on the pitch. He led the line and hit the bar from 25 yards. I thought him and Jonah were excellent. He scored a perfectly good goal and they were a right handful."
Hudson 'not worried' at Cardiff future
Cardiff City's interim boss Mark Hudson insists he's not fretting over what the future may hold, after watching his side go down to a third consecutive defeat at the hands of bitter rivals Swansea City.
Sunday's defeat has brought Hudson's position into sharper focus this week, with there still precious little clarity on whether he will be handed the chance to take the job on a permanent basis.
The defeat at the Swansea.com Stadium may well have dealt a blow to Hudson's hopes of taking the job full-time, but he insists he's not worrying over what might come next.
"I am not too worried about my own position," he told the BBC after the defeat.
"What I look at is how the team stuck together, how they fought with decisions that have gone against them on Wednesday [at Queens Park Rangers] and the previous Saturday [against Coventry City].
"They are showing willing and fight and a togetherness."
Legg backs Hudson
Former Bluebirds star Andy Legg says Cardiff City should give Mark Hudson more time to impress, and insists that refereeing decisions mean onlookers cannot read too much into the last two games.
"I would possibly stick with him (Hudson)," Legg told Radio Wales Breakfast.
"I would like to give him a bit more time. Don't judge him on the last three results because the two games before Swansea, they actually played okay but refereeing decisions cost them dearly.
"I feel sorry for Mark Hudson. He hasn't got a lot to back him up - his backroom staff is very thin and there's not a lot of experience there.
"If they are going to persist with Mark I think they have to bring somebody in with him, with a bit of experience possibly, or do they go and ring the changes again?"
Robinson apologises for red card
Cardiff City striker Callum Robinson has broken his silence to apologise for his costly red card in Sunday's South Wales derby.
Robinson was handed his marching orders after just seven minutes for throwing the ball into the face of Swansea City defender Ben Cabango, in a flashpoint that undoubtedly defined a typically fiery contest between the two rivals.
Cardiff are now set to be without their star striker for the next three games, with City set to entertain Rotherham United next weekend, while Watford and a long trip to Sunderland also await.
Robinson, a deadline-day signing under previous boss Steve Morison, has now taken to social media to apologise for his actions, with the Republic of Ireland international also pledging to bounce back stronger.
Taking to his Instagram on Monday afternoon, he wrote: "I take full responsibility for yesterday. I know how important this fixture is for our fans and everyone associated with the club and my actions weren’t good enough.
"I was gutted to leave my teammates out there playing with a man less. I will now do all I can to help the club achieve the results the fans deserve going forward."
