Here's your round-up of all the latest Cardiff City headlines for Tuesday, August 23.
Villa's Archer stance revealed
Aston Villa could reportedly be willing to sanction a loan exit for former Cardiff City target Cameron Archer this summer.
The striker had initially looked set to move to Watford as part of the deal taking Ismaila Sarr to Villa Park, but that move now looks to have fallen through.

Villa boss Steven Gerrard has previously insisted Archer will be kept on board this season, but recently hinted that his stance may have softened
"The window's still open," he said after the defeat to Crystal Palace. "He's very much a part of what we're trying to do here. He's a massive talent and we love the kid but we'll do the right thing by him in the coming days."
According to our colleagues at LancsLive, Archer is likely to leave at the end of the transfer window, with Villa still on the search for a new attacker, which in turn could have a knock-on effect on the forward's future.
It's a state of play that could well catch the attention of the Steve Morison, who admitted last season that he tried to sign Archer last January.
However, it's believed the preference is to send Archer to a Championship club with the financial resources available to fund the forward's pay package, which could prove problematic to Cardiff were they to revive their interest.
Hugill poised to play against Cherries
Jordan Hugill is poised to receive a run out for Norwich City tonight as they take on Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup second round.
Hugill, who spent the second half of the season on loan in the Welsh capital, is currently facing an uncertain future at Carrow Road, having seen just 33 minutes of league action for the Canaries.
Boss Dean Smith has already admitted he's not sure whether Hugill will be kept in the building this term, but has seemingly suggested a good performance against the Cherries could well see him stake a stronger claim.
When asked specifically on Hugill's future, he added: "I don't know. Jordan [Hugill] will be available for the squad on Tuesday, he might go and score a hat-trick and all of a sudden he puts his name down and takes his opportunity. And that is what I want at this club."
Whyte nets hat-trick for young Bluebirds
Gavin Whyte netted an impressive hat-trick as Cardiff City's under-21s side continued their PDL campaign with a 3-0 win over Sheffield United.
The winger, who's only start came in the Carabao Cup defeat to Portsmouth, netted his first after just 16 minutes, before firing home twice more inside the final 20 minutes, one of which came from the penalty spot.
Kion Etete, Rubin Colwill, Tom Sang and Eli King were among the other notable names to receive minutes on what was a high satisfying day for Darren Purse's young side.
