Rubin Colwill told to emulate Harry Wilson
Rubin Colwill has been named in Wales under-21s squad to take on Scotland in a friendly later this month.
Colwill came on against England in Wales' last World Cup game back in November, but he has been dropped from the senior squad, which was also announced today, and included in Matty Jones' 24-man squad instead.
Colwill has struggled for game time this season owing to injury and falling out of favour under new manager Sabri Lamouchi. Mark Harris is also not included in Rob Page's squad for the upcoming clashes against Croatia and Latvia later this month.

Speaking about Colwill's omission, Page said: "Rubin's not playing football at club level for whatever reason. I know he's struggled. He's still growing, believe it or not.
"Everyone in the room will know what I think of Rubin. I think he's a talented player and in development football you peak and trough at different times.
"We've got to be sympathetic with his development and to keep him involved in the Welsh way, with our culture and how we want to play.
"It's no shame whatsoever to go back with Matty Jones in the 21s and have a couple of games. We've done it with Harry Wilson three or four years ago when Ryan (Giggs) was manager.
"I was under-21s manager and Harry had a couple of games with me and he was the best trainer. The best player by far. I expect the players that have played for the senior team when asked to drop back [to the under-21s] to do the same.
"Be the best trainer and show those new young ones, because there's a new batch of under-21s coming in and showing potential. He's got to go in and show why he's been a part of my first team for the last couple of years."
Two other Bluebirds in the form of Eli King and Oliver Denham are included in the under-21s squad, too.
Wales under-21s take on Scotland on March 26 in the Pinatar Arena, Spain.
Lamouchi: We need more points from losing positions
Lamouchi has told his players to show more fight and start to earn points from losing positions.
Since the Frenchman took over, every game in which Cardiff have gone behind they have lost, every game in which they have taken the lead they have won.
Ahead of tomorrow's West Brom game, Lamouchi said he wants to see more dogged aggression in the face of adversity when his teams go behind.
"The thing we need to work on is; we score first we win, we concede first, we lose," Lamouchi said.
"The Championship is not like that. We need to fight until the end. We need to play hard. To give nothing to the opponent and to believe until the end.
"Unfortunately, it's a young squad with young players and they need time. We were thinking three weeks ago after Birmingham, then Reading and in Norwich we gave them the game, the two goals.
"Against Bristol City it was a great game. Very consistent for 95 minutes. Very serious. A great atmosphere in the stadium. After that we can say we found the right mentality.
"We lost concentration or it was a technical issue (at Preston). But it's very simple. The season, where we are playing, it's difficult, but we can just believe in ourselves a little bit more and together we will be stronger."
Under-21s hammered by Ipswich
Darren Purse's under-21s endured a heavy defeat in Ipswich as the hosts ran out 4-1 winners in East Anglia.
Cardiff handed Lennon Peake his first start for the under-21s in a forward line with Chanka Zimba and Cian Ashford. However, it was Ipswich who seized the initiative.
They burst into a 3-0 lead at half-time thanks to a brace from Harley Curtis and one from Leon Ayinde. Another goal from the hosts after the break was cancelled out by a late Cameron Antwi strike, but it was a comfortable victory for the English side.
Corberan: Cardiff have improved under Lamouchi
West Brom boss Carlos Corberan believes the Bluebirds have improved under manager Sabri Lamouchi.
Cardiff have won three and lost five since the Frenchman took charge, enjoying a six-point buffer over the relegation zone as things stand.
Speaking about his side's trip to the Welsh capital tomorrow, Corberan said: “I never analyse a team based on their position in the league table. It’s more important to watch how a team heads into the game and with what players they have available. It’s true that under their new head coach Sabri Lamouchi they have improved a lot. They’ve picked up decent results and have won three of the last five games.
“They’ll have momentum behind them which means it’s going to be a difficult game.
“I always like to prepare us as if we are facing the best that the opponent can offer. I think it helps us prepare better.
“It’s a massive game once again and we need to have the highest level of commitment possible if we’re to win.
“We need to find a way of winning games away from home and not just at The Hawthorns. We’re not going to find excuses when we play at home or away, because we have the highest level of motivation in both scenarios."
West Brom 'should' win in Cardiff
Former midfielder-turned-pundit David Prutton believes West Brom will run out winners against the Bluebirds at Cardiff City Stadium tomorrow night.
Cardiff come into the game amid a mixed run of form, winning three and losing two of their last five matches, while the Baggies are firmly in the play-off race coming off the back of consecutive wins.
And Prutton predicted a 1-0 win to the Midlands side in his Sky Sports column, adding: “Cardiff are being helped a lot right now by how inept the three teams below them are. It is keeping them above the line in the relegation battle even when they aren’t picking up points.
“West Brom have kicked on back towards the play-offs with back-to-back wins. It should really be three in a row in South Wales.”
Under-16s in semi-final tonight
Cardiff under-16s take on Peterborough United in the semi-final of the Professional Development League tonight.
The young Bluebirds travel to Abbey Lawn, the home of Bourne Town Football Club, for the clash, which kicks off at 7pm this evening.
Speaking about facing Cardiff, Posh youth coach Elio Salerno said: “Cardiff have earned their place to be here. They like to have the ball and dominate possession, so it will be a good challenge for the players.
"It’s two good teams going head-to-head against each other and both sides aren't here by luck, we both deserve to be in the semi-final and will look to make the most of it.”
