Cardiff City news as Bluebirds get huge Ebou Adams boost and Lamouchi personally addresses fans

These are your Cardiff City headlines on Wednesday, April 12.

Adams back in training

Cardiff City may have been handed a huge boost as summer signing Ebou Adams has been pictured training during the Bluebirds’ open training session at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Adams joined the Bluebirds from Forest Green Rovers on a three-year deal in May last year when Steve Morison was in charge, however he’s yet to play a competitive game for the club due to injury.

The Gambian international suffered a freak injury in a pre-season clash with Cambridge United, which saw him rip his pectoral muscle off the bone. This led to a lengthy lay-off which saw him miss the start of the Championship campaign.

Just as Adams was nearing his return to first-team action he suffered another setback with a knee injury before Christmas. In March, Sabri Lamouchi said he expected Adams to miss the rest of the season but seeing Adams back in training is a positive for Cardiff fans as they look ahead to next season.

Blades keeper suspended for Bramall Lane clash

Sheffield United will be without goalkeeper Wes Foderingham for Saturday’s clash with the Bluebirds.

Foderingham was sent off mid-way through the first half of the Blades’ fixture with Burnley on Monday for bringing down Nathan Tella outside the area. Burnley came away with a 2-0 win at Turf Moor as they edge closer to the Championship title.

Foderingham’s absence will be a huge blow for the Blades, he’s made 40 appearances in all competitions this season, keeping 18 clean sheets and conceding just 33 goals.

Welshman Adam Davies will be Foderingham’s likely replacement in the Sheffield United goal.

Boss personally addresses fans at training session

Young Bluebirds fans were treated to a special day at the Cardiff City Stadium on Wednesday as the club hosted a family fun day.

Supporters were invited to watch the first team train from the stands and were given the chance to meet their idols with autograph sessions and a Q&A. Sabri Lamouchi also took the opportunity to speak to Bluebirds supporters via the Stadium PA system.

The event proved popular, with fans turning out in the Grand Stand and Canton Stand to get an insight into how the club train on a day-to-day basis.
