Davies signs new deal
Isaak Davies has signed a new deal with Cardiff City.
The Bluebirds youngster has enjoyed a breakthrough season, featuring for Steve Morison 21 times and finding the back of the net twice.
In recent weeks he seems to have kicked on even more, providing City with plenty of industry on and off the ball.
He only signed a new deal last month, tying him down until the summer of 2023, but Cardiff have now extended that deal on improved terms until 2025.
"I'm very happy," Davies said.
"I've worked really hard to get to this point now and I've got a lot of people of thank. The academy - there are a lot of coaches that have had a big influence on me.
"Then stepping up to the first team. It was difficult at the start but the boys welcomed me. The gaffer too, as well as Tom Ramasut and Mark Hudson.
"I'm excited now to push on with Cardiff City Football Club."
Davies is one of a number of young talents making progress under Morison at Cardiff City Stadium, and with the manager now set for an extended stay at the club after penning a new deal himself, the 20-year-old could be set for more first-team opportunities.
Loan report dossier
Cardiff currently have eight players plying their trade away from the capital.
Josh Murphy (Preston North End), Gavin Whyte (Oxford United), Ciaron Brown (Oxford United), James Connolly (Bristol Rovers), Chanka Zimba (Northampton Town), Keenan Patten (Hereford), Tom Sang (St Johnstone) and Kieron Evans (Linfield) are all out getting game-time under their belts.
Murphy's contract is up at the end of the season and he is unlikely to be offered a new one. The same can also be said for defender Brown.
But the other six are set to return to Cardiff City Stadium this summer and will be out to force their way into Morison's plans for next season.
Morison has demanded detailed and meticulously put-together reports on each player after every game they play for their respective clubs.
New date for Boro game
Cardiff have announced a new date for their fixture against Middlesbrough.
The Bluebirds were originally set to play Chris Wilder's side on March 19, but Boro's progression in the FA Cup means the game has been put back.
The match will now take place on Tuesday, April 26, with a 7.45pm kick-off inked in.
