Here are your Cardiff City headlines for Thursday, January 27.
Parker targeting forwards before deadline
Bournemouth boss Scott Parker has admitted he wants to add players to help in the attacking third of the pitch following links with Cardiff City's Kieffer Moore.
While there were links at the start of the month, it is understood there has been nothing concrete tabled for the striker at time of writing.
Reports on the south coast suggest that the Cherries have had a bid rejected for Peterborough's Sirki Dembele, while Parker reiterated that progress on the transfer front has been slows going of late.
“I’m not sure we are getting closer," Parker said. "We are in (for signings). We are trying to do business and trying to get some bodies in to get the help that we probably need to get us over the line.
"But we realise this is a very difficult window to buy players. Like always, we will have to see where we are late on because I think that’s when it’s probably going to end up being.
"But we are trying all we can to support the team and I think we’ll know nearer the time when the window shuts."
Parker refused to be drawn on specific players, having also been heavily linked with Derby County's Tom Lawrence, but the Cherries boss did confirm he wanted to bolster his attacking stable before Monday's deadline.
"I wouldn’t want to comment on any club's players," he added. "I feel that we need to improve certain areas and attacking areas of the pitch is probably an area we need to look at. These are the positions we are looking at.
"What I can say they're the areas we are looking. I can tell the fans we are trying our hardest and the people in those places, the scouts, the recruitment department, the ownership, we are trying all we can to get bodies in to help us.
"I feel attacking areas is where we probably need some some help now. I think we've been heavily dependent on certain players in our squad and in our team. I think that's evident.
"In the attacking area of the pitch, that is where we are light. And could do with extra support."
Zimba 'out for weeks'
Cardiff City striker Chanka Zimba will be "out for weeks" following a hamstring injury, Northampton have confirmed.
Zimba has played three times for the Cobblers since joining the club on loan, but on the weekend, against Sutton United, he was withdrawn before the hour.
Jon Brady, the Cobblers boss, said : “Chanka is going to be out for six weeks with a hamstring injury.
“It’s a bit of a body blow for us, we have integrated Chanka into the group really well by managing his load with 20 minutes here and there for the first few weeks but he felt the issue on Saturday."
A real blow for the youngster.

Risca sign Paul Parry
Risca United AFC have announced the signing of former Bluebirds favourite Paul Parry.
Risca ply their trade in the Cymru South and, given they sit third-bottom, need all the firepower they can get their hands on if they are to shoot up the league.
And they hope the Chepstow-born winger will add some much-needed quality and experience to their squad.
Parry, who is now 41, played for the Bluebirds between 2004 and 2009 and scored 28 goals, assisting a further 24, in 214 appearances for the club.
He moved on to Preston North End until 2012 before seemingly ending his career at Shrewsbury Town in 2014. However, he has been brought out of retirement to aid the Cymru South side this term.
Coventry game on TV
Cardiff City's upcoming Sky Bet Championship fixture against Coventry City on Tuesday, February 15, has been chosen for live coverage by Sky Sports.
The date and kick-off time for the clash are unaffected, though, with the game set to kick-off at 7.45pm at the Cardiff City Stadium.
Due to Sky Sports selection, the game will therefore not be available on iFollow or Cardiff City TV in the UK or overseas.
It comes ahead of games against Nottingham Forest (January 30) and Liverpool (February 6) which are also on TV.
