Goalkeeping coach Andy Dibble is set to leave Cardiff City, WalesOnline understands.
Dibble, who began his playing career with the Bluebirds, took up the role in 2017, but has now been told that his services will no longer be required. The 57-year-old wasn't in the dugout for Saturday's win over Derby County on the final day of the Championship season, and Steve Morison declined to comment on the matter when quizzed after the game.
Dibble leaves having overseen the progress of several Cardiff number ones, including Neil Etheridge, Alex Smithies and Dillon Phillips. However, while declining to make an official comment, it seems City have decided to go in a different direction.
It's not yet clear if the club have a replacement lined up.
The move brings an end to a long association between the Bluebirds and Dibble, who first signed on as an apprentice in the capital before turning professional in 1982. He would go on make 62 appearances for City before moving to Luton Town in 1984 for £125,000.
He would go on to lift the League Cup for the Hatters in 1988, before later going on to play for Manchester City, Glasgow Rangers and Wrexham. Dibble was also capped three times by Wales, before moving into coaching.
Before Cardiff, he had previously taken roles at Accrington Stanley, Peterborough and Rotherham.
