Cardiff City fans deliver overwhelming verdict on Kieffer Moore's Bournemouth transfer and name Man City kid as best signing

A whopping 82 percent of Cardiff City fans who took our survey believe it was the correct decision from the club to sell Kieffer Moore to Bournemouth on transfer deadline day.

Moore's departure was a protracted storyline which dates back to last summer following his 20-goal debut season in the Welsh capital.

After a move to Premier League side Wolves failed, promotion-chasing Bournemouth registered their interest in the Wales striker and, following the handing in of a transfer request, Moore's move to the south coast was sealed.

It is understood that the club could net as much as £5m, if certain add-ons and criteria are met, a fee which Steve Morison said the club were happy with.

Morison said he wanted players at the club who were up for the fight at the back end of the campaign, rather than wantaway stars who might impact the morale and output of the players.

And it seems the lion's share of supporters agree with Morison and the club's decision to let the 29-year-old exit the club in January, with 82 percent of participants believing it was the right call.

Elsewhere, Manchester City midfielder Tommy Doyle was voted for as the best signing of the January window.

The playmaker has started his Cardiff career like a house on fire, already proving what a classy operator the Premier League champions have on their hands.

He is the sort of player who gets fans up off their seats and has certainly endeared himself to the Bluebirds supporters in his short time with the club so far.

Of the people to have taken our survey, Doyle came out on top with a pretty sizeable majority. In fact, 56.8 percent of supporters named him as the club's best January acquisition, followed by Jordan Hugill, who is on loan from Norwich City garnered 26.7 percent of the vote.

On the whole, supporters were happy with the club's work in the transfer window.

As well as Doyle and Hugill, Cardiff brought in Uche Ikpeazu, Cody Drameh and Alfie Doughty on loan, while shipping out Tom Sang, Kieron Evans, Ciaron Brown and Keenan Patten on loan, with Moore the solitary sale.

Supporters gave Cardiff an average rating of seven out of 10 for their work in the window.

Following the transfer window, no doubt coupled with the subsequent upsurge in results, Cardiff fans appear more confident about their team's chances going forward this term.

When asked where they thought the Bluebirds would finish at the end of the campaign, only 4.8 percent believed the club would get relegated to League One.

The most popular answer, by a clear margin, was a bottom-half finish, with 76.6 percent of participants believing Cardiff would finish anywhere between 13th and 21st.

Given how the first half of the season went, Cardiff would bite your hand off for that guarantee right now.
