Cardiff City boss Steve Morison makes bold Cody Drameh Leeds United prediction and already wants him back next year

Steve Morison says Cody Drameh and Cardiff City are the perfect fit for each other this season, and has tipped the Leeds United loanee for Premier League stardom, following the youngster's stunning performance against Peterborough United on Wednesday night.

Drameh produced a scintillating display as Cardiff ran 4-0 winners over the visitors, with the highlight being an astonishing assist for Jordan Hugill's strike after half-time.

It was perhaps the 20-year-old's strongest performance so far in a Cardiff shirt, after finding himself having to adapt to the rigours of Championship football.

"His home performance here against Nottingham Forest, he was looking fitter and sharper than he did in this first two games," Morison said after the game.

"Barnsley was a horrible game. He'd never experienced anything like that and he came in with a couple of last ditch tackles right at the death fo the game, which was phenomenal.

"Tonight? Pff. It's a good thing they can't call him back after that because he was outstanding."

Drameh left Elland Road despite reservations from Marcelo Bielsa, and Morison can clearly see why the Leeds boss might have been reluctant to let the wingback make the move to south Wales.

"You have to look at how quickly he covers the ground, how quickly he makes those moments just look easy, then he gets to the end bit and he's calm enough to make that pass.

"If he keeps playing like that. They'll have some player on their hands next year.

"If they don't, I'll be the first to put my hand in the air to ask if I can have him back!

"He will go back to them at the end of the season if he continues to perform at those levels between now and then.

"I would say it will have been a very good loan for him. We play to his strengths and he's a lovely kid to go with it."
