Cardiff City have agreed a permanent deal for West Bromwich Albion striker Callum Robinson.
After much speculation, WalesOnline understands the forward is poised to become City's 17th signing of a hugely busy summer, in what is a welcome development in the capital.
The size of the fee isn't yet known at this stage, but the move represents a huge breakthrough for boss Steve Morison, who's made no secret of his desire to bring another striker on board during this window.
Despite already bringing in Kion Etete from Tottenham, Cardiff have largely struggled in the final third so far this season, with neither Etete or Max Watters finding the net so far.
Confirming the move, West Brom boss Steve Bruce said: "It looks as if he's on his way, Cardiff I think is the one that's agreed the fee.
"We always knew we had to balance the books, I wish him the best of luck if that happens. It hasn't gone so well of late for Robbo these past few weeks, but I wish him the best of luck - he's a really smashing lad and a great pro."
Morison has frequently faced questions on the possibility of bringing the right forward on board, and will hope Robinson can provide the injection of quality needed to kickstart City's season.
Robinson, who can play across the front three, netted seven goals and earned nine assists in the league last season for the Baggies, but the arrivals of Jed Wallace and John Swift have restricted him to just four league outings this term, all of which have come from the bench.
It remains to be seen just how much more business Cardiff will do in the remaining hours of the transfer window, although insiders have suggested the Bluebirds aren't expecting any further incomings or departures before the 11pm deadline.
