Cardi B has had a lucrative few years, exploding onto the scene (and the red carpet) with a string of chart-topping hits. The rapper, who made history as the first female solo artist to ever win Best Rap Album at the Grammys and the first woman to headline Rolling Loud, has continued her reign with songs such as WAP securing her prime real estate on billboard charts.
Beyond her musical career, Cardi has also ventured into acting with a role in the Constance Wu-led film Hustlers as well as major ad campaigns with Balenciaga, Fashion Nova and Pepsi for their Super Bowl commercial - all of which would have netted her a hefty pay day.
Cardi, whose real name is Belcalis Almanzar, has in the past been known to spoil her daughter Kulture as well as her husband Offset - though it appears things are soon to change regarding the latter. Cardi B filed for divorce on Tuesday in Georgia, calling their marriage “irretrievably broken” with “no prospects for a reconciliation.”
It has since been reported that Offset is contesting the divorce and that Cardi B is seeking “primary physical custody” of their daughter Kulture as well as a contribution to Kulture’s “support and maintenance.” It is not known at this time if the pair signed a prenuptial agreement, however documents obtained by the Los Angeles Times claim she is seeking “an equitable division of all marital assets.”

What is Cardi B's net worth?
The rapper, born Belcalis Almanzar in the Bronx, is said to have a fortune of $24 million according to Celebrity Net Worth.
Cardi first appeared on VH1’s sixth season of Love and Hip-Hop: New York in 2015. Since then, the hip-hop star has released multiple hit singles, become an Instagram sensation with 37 million followers, and collaborated with Fashion Nova (which according to Offset sold $10.8 million worth of stock in three hours) and Steve Madden.
She's also starred in high profile commercials at the Super Bowl for both Amazon and Pepsi.
The 'South of the Border' rapper has become one of the most in-demand performers on the scene today. She made history at Rolling Loud Festival when she became the festival's first female headliner ever. She also drew a lot of attention when she performed at the Grammys earlier this February and wound up winning Best Rap Album; a big win for women as she was the first solo female artist to win the award.
More recently, she broke the record for highest paid attendance at Rodeo Houston - all dressed in a snazzy cowboy suit. She shared a video addressing the fact she had beaten Garth Brooks previous record, with 75,580 fans attending.
Cardi B also stars in Hustlers, however it is not currently known how much the rapper was paid for her role in the film.
Not bad for a “regular, degular, schmegular girl from the Bronx.”
What is Offset's net worth?
The Migos superstar is said to be worth $9 million, which would explain the $500k engagement ring he gifted Cardi and the $210k he brought along to Carpool Karaoke. In a video for GQ, he broke down his impressive $3 million jewelry and watch collection, including a $250,000 emoji-themed necklace given to him by Cardi B and a $170,000 Richard Mille watch.
Migos (the hip hop trio Offset is part of) toured heavily this year, with a 54-date arena tour opening up for Drake, celebrating the success of their number one hit 'Bad and Boujee.'
Offset has also pursued a solo career and founded his own record label, Quality Control. Earlier this April, he and his wife collaborated on 'Clout' which has amassed more than 161 million views on YouTube.
His marriage to Cardi B cemented the pair's status as one of music's power couples.
Are Cardi B and Offset divorcing?
Cardi B filed for divorce on Tuesday in Georgia, however it has been reported Offset is contesting it.
The couple welcomed their daughter (his fourth child and her first), Kulture Kiari Cephus, in July of 2018. Since then, reports have swirled about Offset’s rumored infidelities. In December 2018, Cardi announced that the pair had grown "out of love" and that they would be getting a divorce before later reconciling.
She said in an Instagram video, "I've been trying to work things out with my baby father for a hot minute now and we're really good friends and you know we're really good business partners. He's always somebody that I run to talk to and we got a lot of love for each other but things just haven't been working out between us for a long time and it's nobody's fault."
"I guess we grew out of love, but we're not together anymore. I don't know. It might take time to get a divorce and I'm gonna always have a lot of love from him because he is my daughter's father," she finished.
After the pair had separated, Offset began to stage public spectacles in an attempt to get Cardi B to take him back. While some found the gestures romantic, others found them controversial and toxic. At Rolling Loud, where Cardi B made history as the festival's first ever female headliner, Offset crashed her set as she was performing and begged her to take him back. (The festival was criticized on social media for helping to orchestrate the moment, which they owned up to on Twitter.) At the same festival, he later had the crowd chant "Cardi, take Offset back" at the end of 21 Savage's set.
In spite of the controversy, it appears that the pair are back together as they arrived at the Grammys looking all loved up. As they posed for photos, they kissed and touched tongues on the carpet. She also later thanked Offset in her winners speech after winning Best Rap Album, calling him her "new husband" and said, "He was like, 'You gonna do this album girl, we gonna have this baby and we gonna do this album.'"
While the pair later reunited, Cardi B’s recent divorce filing claimed their marriage is now “irretrievably broken.”
Do the couple have a prenup?
It’s believed that the couple does not have a prenup but Cardi keeps a close eye on their finances.
She previously told Howard Stern that she kept her money separate from her former husband's. "We really clock each other. It's more than a relationship. We are planning on building a really big future,” she told the shock jock, adding that they monitor each other’s big-ticket items.
She's also keeping an eye on Uncle Sam's use of her money too. In an Instagram video, she said “Uncle Sam, I want to know what you’re doing with my f***ing money... I want receipts.”
What will happen to Cardi B and Offset's combined wealth if they divorce?
It's possible that Cardi will end up with a larger share of the couple's assets if they go through with a divorce in the future. However, documents obtained by the Los Angeles Times claim Cardi B is seeking an "equitable division of all marital assets."
There's a large car empire to divide up, among other things. The pair own his-and-hers Lamborghinis, while Cardi also has a Mercedes, a Bentley, and yet another Lambo.
One thing she doesn't have? Her driver's license. So she'll probably need to factor a chauffeur into her finances too. Offset has an even more extensive collection of cars, including a Rolls Royce Cardi gifted him for his 26th birthday.
When you're divvying up that many cars and an eight-carat engagement ring, we imagine things can get pretty complicated.
