Cardi B left feeling 'hopeless' as she tries to make husband happy after Takeoff's death

Cardi B is heartbroken after seeing her husband Offset "randomly cry" following the death of his cousin and Migos bandmate Takeoff.

Takeoff, real name Kirshnik Khari Ball, died earlier this month at just 28 years old after he was gunned down in a shooting in Houston, Texas. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

His uncle and bandmate Quavo had been playing a dice game with the rapper when a fight broke out.

30-year-old Cardi B said she and Offset, 30, have been trying to live their lives "normally", but have been struggling with their grief. She added that she feels "hopeless" when she can't help her husband with his emotions.

"We're living our life normally, but deep down inside our hearts have been so heavy.

"No lie, I have been feeling so hopeless trying to make my husband happy, trying to make him crack a smile," she said during an interview with The Neighborhood Talk.

She added that it has been difficult "seeing him randomly cry, seeing him trying to distract his mind".

Offset recently spoke out for the first time since the death of his cousin and said the pain has been "unbearable".

Taking to Instagram, he said: "The pain you have left me with is unbearable. My heart is shattered and I have so many things to say, but I can't find the words," Offset wrote.

"I've been going to sleep and waking up hoping that all of this is a dream, but it's reality, and reality feels like a nightmare," he added. "Every time you would see me, you didn't give me a dap you gave me a hug.

"I wish I could hug you one last time."

Offset added that he also wanted to be able to laugh and perform with his cousin "one last time".

He said: "I know someone with a soul like yours is in heaven now. I hope you can see how much we love you and miss you.

"You have left a hole in my heart that will never be filled."

Offset finished his tribute by saying: "Give me strength, give your brothers strength, give your family strength. Even though I know you will always be with us, throw me a lil sign or a beautiful dream.

"I love you forever, 4L and after."
