Everton progressed in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night with a 1-0 win at Fleetwood Town - and they will now be joined in the draw for the third round by neighbours Liverpool.
At the third-round stage all Premier League teams who are taking part in European competition join the draw - including holders Liverpool as well as Manchester City, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, Manchester United and West Ham United.
And here is everything you need to know.
When is the Carabao Cup third round draw?
The draw will take place tonight (Wednesday, August 24) after the conclusion of the match between Tranmere Rovers and Newcastle United at Prenton Park, which kicks-off at 7.45pm. Former Liverpool duo - and ex-Tranmere Rovers managers - John Barnes and John Aldridge will conduct the draw.
How can I watch the Carabao Cup third round draw?
The draw will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football after the Tranmere game. We will also be live blogging the draw in the Everton and Liverpool sections of the Liverpool ECHO website.
When will Carabao Cup third round ties take place?
They will be played in the week commencing November 7. That is a later date than usual - and it's because the World Cup is taking place in the winter in Qatar. The ties will also take place after the Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League group stages are completed.
