Manchester United will play Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup semi-final with Erik ten Hag in search of his first piece of silverware as boss.
Newcastle will take on Southampton in the other semi-final.
Southampton recorded the result of the quarter-final when they knocked out competition favourites Manchester City in a 2-0 victory, preventing Pep Guardiola from winning a fifth Carabao Cup.
Sekou Mara opened the scoring for the Saints - who are currently bottom of the Premier League - before Moussa Djenepo netted a second with a brilliantly looped effort.
The Premier League champions had beaten trophy holders Liverpool en route to the quarter-final but will now turn their attention to the Champions League, the FA Cup and retaining their title.
Man United beat Charlton 3-0 on Tuesday with Marcus Rashford twice getting on the scoresheet against their League One opposition at Old Trafford.
Ten Hag is confident the England international will keep bagging goals for the Red Devils.
"I have told you many times when he brings himself into position, when the teams put him in the positions, in the one-on-ones in the box he will score and that is what he is doing at this moment," Ten Hag said after the win over the Addicks.
"So if he keeps the focus and keeps putting the effort in he will keep on scoring.
"What you see now with Rashy, that is quite obvious, it wasn't at the start of the season but now he is in the right moment."
Eddie Howe's Newcastle, meanwhile, are in their first cup semi-final in 18 years after beating Leicester City in their quarter-final on Tuesday.
The Magpies are looking to cap a superb season with some silverware.
"It's too long, too long a wait," said Howe after the 2-0 win over the Foxes. "That's no criticism of anyone that's tried, but we're desperate to hurry up the processes and try to get the team successful as quickly as possible.
"That's easier said than done, and we now go to a semi-final. Getting to the semi-final is one thing, but you want to get into the final, you want to experience that. We know we'll have a huge test ahead of us whoever we get, but we're just delighted to be in there."
And finally, Nottingham Forest beat Wolves in a dramatic penalty shoot-out in their quarter-final after drawing 1-1 at the City Ground.
The Carabao Cup semi-finals are played over two legs, with Forest hosting Man United in the first tie before their trip to Old Trafford.
Meanwhile, Southampton will play host to their first match against Newcastle, before heading to St James' Park to complete the tie.
The first legs are set to be played on the week commencing January 23, with the return fixtures taking place just seven days later but mid-week.
