Cara Delevingne 'fails to show up for launch of her own capsule collection in New York'

Cara Delevingne 'failed to turn up to her own launch event at New York Fashion Week' – sparking further concern for the supermodel's wellbeing.

The British model has been acting out of the ordinary recently and this latest ordeal is the most recent in a string of bizarre incidents.

Held for the official launch of her capsule collection CARA LOVES KARL, a collaboration with the late Karl Lagerfeld, Cara was reportedly absent from the party.

According to MailOnline, guests were flowing but there was no sign of principal designer Cara at the Pine Street restaurant Saga in New York.

The 30-year-old was 'nowhere in sight' during the launch of her sustainable collection of inclusive clothing and accessories.

She has caused worry for her health following a series of bizarre appearances in recent weeks,

Only recently, she appeared shoeless and disorientated before boarding Jay Z's jet and later disembarking before the plane took off.

Cara was later pictured at Van Nuys Airport sitting on a bench shoeless with dishevelled hair as she smoked a cigarette.

Now it has been reported Cara's loved ones are so worried about her, they are looking to find a way to intervene to encourage the model to get help.

"We are all incredibly concerned. The situation has been building for a few weeks now, and Cara's family is involved. There is talk of staging some kind of intervention and making sure Cara gets the help she may well need," a family friend told The Sun.

Cara previously spoke openly about her battle with anxiety and depression (Instagram)

"She has been burning the candle at both ends of late, and it's clearly taking its toll. The consensus is that she needs a few weeks of total rest — no booze, no partying and, crucially, some healthy, hot meals inside her."

They added: "Cara’s an incredibly bright, switched-on girl — but even she needs a guiding hand sometimes, There has been some talk of getting her into a retreat of some kind for a detox and some R&R."

Cara lives over in Los Angeles, but was originally born in Hammersmith and has three siblings, including her model sister Poppy.

The star has previously spoken openly about her battle with anxiety and depression, saying she was severely depressed when she was 15 after struggling at school due to her dyspraxia.

The Mirror contacted Cara's representatives for comment.
