A car was left wrecked and facing the wrong way, while a motorway barrier was smashed after a crash which left a Scots motorist in hospital.
The one-vehicle incident happened on the M90 northbound near Kelty at around 4.35pm on Saturday July 2. South West Fife Police tweeted images of the crash aftermath which show considerable damage to the vehicle.
One image shows the green car stationary on the hard shoulder of the road, with the front bumper hanging off. A second image shows debris on the road alongside a broken roadside barrier.

The Twitter post said: "Community cops are helping out our Cowdenbeath Police colleagues for the first half of the back shift today. Flagged down for a single-vehicle collision on the M90.
"The driver was taken to hospital as a precaution. Thanks to those who had already stopped to help."
The condition of the driver is not yet known. The Record has contacted Police Scotland for more information.
